One week after the conclusion of the regatta, the thrill of an amazing Rolex Fastnet Race is still felt.
The fiftieth edition of the historic regatta around the extreme lighthouse of Ireland saw the Class40s launched on the Genoese docks prevail in the bagarre of the class with a second and a fourth place in real time, ten minutes apart at the finish line.
Allagrande by Beccaria and Influence2 by Andrea Fornaro – respectively boat 1# and 2# for Sangiorgio Marine – thus finished with a third place for Fornaro and a seventh for Beccaria, who suffered a two-hour penalty after an early start (OCS) .
Italians are also the skipper of IBSA, Alberto Bona, and Pietro Luciani, embarked on the second classified flying the French flag, Dékuple.
