A project born under the banner of power and control, with attention to sustainability, designed for a solitary race in the ocean.

The construction of the Class 40 Alla Grande – Pirelli took place in the newborn Sangiorgio Marine shipyard owned by Edoardo Bianchi, formerly the project manager of Persico Marine in the construction of the foiling boats of Luna Rossa and himself an Olympic sailor: “this day is a source of great pride – says Edoardo Bianchi – because it is an entirely Italian challenge in a world where the only reference in terms of manufacturers has always been French.

Today we are ready to face the ocean for the first time with a project made in Italy, but above all made in Genoa, an aspect to which I give great value.

Alla Grande was born a little from the madness of each of us: this project is a job, but also a passion that unites us, born years ago on the benches of the University of La Spezia where Ambrogio, Gianluca (Guelfi, the designer ed) and myself studied together ».
