Launched today from the innovative Genoese shipyard’s docks, the Wally Power “Tenderissimo” is a sixty-four-foot motor yacht that has undergone significant restyling and refitting work over the past few months.
The Sangiorgio Marine team worked on designer Giuseppe Martines’ project to unveil a completely renewed superstructure.
New Superstructure, Same Class
For this refit, Sangiorgio Marine involved designer Giuseppe Martines and structural engineer Paolo Dassi, who conducted an in-depth study of the iconic vessel to create a superstructure that is entirely new in design and functionality, while still maintaining the recognizable design, profile, proportions, and surface treatment. Structurally, the focus was on maintaining lightness and geometry.
Originally closed and air-conditioned, the new design of the superstructure is open and naturally ventilated, yet still protected from the sun and weather, with a roof supported by “chimney” side windows to allow for greater ventilation. The frames and structure, made of exposed structural carbon and painted by our San Giorgio Yacht Painting team with Stoppani nautical paints, blend with the elegance and sobriety of the tender, showcasing Sangiorgio Marine’s ability to reinvent class using advanced materials and construction processes.
