The brand new Musa 40 Evolution “Maccaferri Futura“, the latest vessel for skipper Luca Rosetti, touched the water from the quaysides of the Sangiorgio Marine shipyard on 17th April.
“Maccaferri Futura” represents the evolution of the already high-performing Musa 40, well-known for the successes previously achieved by Ambrogio Beccaria. This new version has been significantly revised in terms of both its architecture and construction, building upon the experience gained from previous boats and, in particular, the feedback from those who have sailed them.
Key innovations include the forward relocation of the mast and the keel being moved aft towards the stern. This alteration has allowed for an increase in sail area and an improvement in the righting moment, which is the boat’s ability to return to an upright position.
Edoardo Bianchi, CEO of Sangiorgio Marine, commented enthusiastically: “With Futura, Sangiorgio Marine launches its sixth Musa 40, a vessel that demonstrates the great construction capability of our team. This winning design is now presented in an ‘Evolution’ version with significant modifications to the keel and mast for even greater performance. The launch of “Maccaferri Futura” marks another important step for Sangiorgio Marine and for skipper Luca Rosetti, who is now ready to face new ocean challenges with a state-of-the-art yacht.
